TITLE: Director, Mission Services STATUS: Exempt JOB# 5031

IMMEDIATE SUPERVISOR: Senior Director, Mission Services

SUPERVISES: N/A

POSITION SUMMARY: Demonstrates Goodwill’s Core Values through actions and behaviors. Maintains and enforces accreditation and compliance processes for Mission Services. Assists with development, execution, administration and monitoring of all mission service programs. Supports development of successful training programs and oversees ongoing support services for individuals with barriers and disabilities. Evaluates new program and course development proposals and maintains appropriate documentation according to approved processes.

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelors degree required or equivalent exp
  • 2 years supervisory experience required
  • 2 years project management experience required
  • Grant writing experience preferred

QUALIFICATIONS / SPECIAL SKILLS / KNOWLEDGE:

  • Valid Texas Drivers license and good driving record
  • Must be able to create and analyze financial reports/spreadsheets and work within budget constraints
  • Ability to travel on regular basis to Goodwill territory locations
  • Ability to assist in development, execution, administration and monitoring of curriculum in training, education and rehabilitation in alignment with community needs.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to operate a variety of software such as tracking system(s), Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.
  • General Business experience - understanding of the private for-profit business environment, it’s inherent problems and a capacity to solve issues relating to employment of people with disabilities
  • Ability to handle sensitive situations and confidential information
  • Ability to communicate appropriately, professionally and effectively with supervised employees, co-workers and others
  • Ability to solve practical problems; exercise judgment, make decisions and use discretion in the performance of duties
  • Follow through on assignments independent of close supervision

RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES:

  • Adhere to and promote Goodwill’s performance standards and Core Values. Foster a positive team environment. (E)
  • Stay apprised of and adhere to legal and compliance updates as well as industry standards including but not limited to ADA, CARF, etc. (E)
  • Oversee program development and regularly assess to ensure program need and effectiveness. (E)
  • Oversee and support staff in promoting success for employees with barriers or disabilities. (E)
  • Collaborate effectively with coworkers and community partners to achieve program goals. (E)
  • Coordinate multiple projects concurrently to ensure deadlines are met. (E)
  • Assist Senior Director with program goal tracking, progress and financial efficacy. (E)
  • Ensure compliance and accreditation standards are met by following processes, maintaining accurate records and monitoring progress. (E)
  • Adhere to and enforce policies, procedures and practices. (E)
  • Positively represent Goodwill West Texas by actively participating in committees, boards, and peer organizations. (E)
  • Partner with Senior Director in marketing workforce development programs and courses. (E)
  • Enter data accurately, prepare documents and ensure timely completion of assigned tasks and projects. (E)
  • Organize, maintain, and audit case files, online client data and records in compliance with standards. (E)
  • Maintain documentation in accordance with laws, processes and compliance standards. (E)
  • Maintain quality information in accordance with compliance standards & laws, establish priorities, meet deadlines and produce documents as appropriate. (E)
  • Report data & program information to President & Board of Directors as requested. (E)
  • Provide administrative support in hiring, onboarding and training of Mission staff. (E)
  • Communicate professionally and effectively via phone calls, email, etc. Schedule meetings and appointments as necessary or as requested by supervisor. (E)
  • Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information appropriately. (E)
  • Make appropriate decisions in a variety of situations including but not limited to altercations, medical emergencies, etc. (E)
  • Assist with Goodwill activities, events and special projects as needed. (E)
  • Relate appropriately and positively with co-workers and others
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by supervisor.
