Your Responsibilities Providing technical leadership for a complex multi-robot system, guiding architectural decisions, and owning the development cycle from concept to production. Collaborate with electrical, software, integration, testing, and operations teams. Lead continuous improvement projects for automation equipment. Oversee automation design projects from concept to implementation. Support the team in solving complex technical problems. Create engineering processes to enable success. Mentor colleagues and support their growth. Define project scope, requirements, budget, and timeline; prioritize work aligned with company goals. Focus on functional deployment, manufacturing, and reliability. Implement design improvements and verify their effectiveness. Lead cost reduction initiatives. Ensure quality in modeling, drawings, and workflows. Coordinate with suppliers for quality assurance. Support hardware deployment in new facilities. Contribute to a positive work culture and robust workflows. What We're Looking For Bachelor's or Master's in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent. 12+ years in mechanical engineering, with 5+ years leading teams. 5+ years designing high-reliability automation or robotic equipment. Experience in startups and larger organizations. Expertise in motorized and pneumatic mechanisms. Strong leadership and mentorship skills. Hands-on troubleshooting ability. Creative problem-solving skills. Proficiency in CAD (SolidWorks) and PLM. Experience in DFM and DFA. Preferred Qualifications Experience in volume manufacturing parts and mechanisms. Six Sigma training. Project management experience. Experience in food tech. Desire to work in a fast-paced startup environment. Community and environmental impact awareness.
