This role is part of Blue Origin Operations, which is comprised of Integrated Supply Chain, Test Operations, Safety, Quality, and Mission Assurance. This includes Manufacturing and Supply Chain support across all Blue Origin facilities. As part of a hardworking team of diverse engineers, you will lead a team that is accountable for delivering launch complex infrastructure for Blue Origin’s New Glenn vehicle. In this role leading a multi discipline team you will be responsible for design, procurement, construction, and commissioning of mechanical, structural, fluids, and electrical systems. Additionally, the team is responsible for site coordination, permitting and interfacing with regulatory agencies. The team develops integrated cost and schedules and is accountable for project execution.

Minimum Qualifications:
B.S. degree or higher in engineering; or equivalent
10+ years of experience with project and construction management
3+ years of experience in people management
Demonstrated experience leading teams on complex projects through design, construction, and commissioning activities
Demonstrated understanding of mechanical, electrical, and fluid system design and construction
Demonstrated ability to build a culture that encourages and enables others to build skills and develop their careers.
Demonstrate the ability to understand the organization’s vision and flow that into practical strategies for making priority decisions to drive results, simplify designs and meet deadlines
Experience in resource management, including budget and headcount planning and execution
Experience in project management and reporting, including EAC and annual planning
Experience in schedule development for complex integrated facilities
Experience in construction management, including procurement, contracts, quality, safety, and project closeout
Experience in risk and opportunities management
Organized, self-starter, capable or breaking down complex problems into traceable tasks
Exhibit excellent judgement and be comfortable making high-quality and high-velocity decisions
Excellent written and verbal communication
Demonstrate the ability to adapt and excel in a changing and growing environment
Proven effective leadership and mentoring
Ability to travel in support of supplier management
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience performing launch complex ground system design and conducting related operations
Experience in industrial construction projects
Knowledge of mechanical and fluid system components (i.e. valves, regulators and pumps for cryogenics, propellants, and other fluids)
Familiar with Building Codes, ASME and NFPA
Certified Project Management Professional
Knowledge of standard installation and fabrication methods of piping systems (pipe stock, fittings, connections, fasteners, welding, etc.)
Experience with Newforma Project Center
Experience working with DOD, USAF, and/or NASA

Required for Certain Job Profiles: Drivers who operate Commercial Motor Vehicles with a Gross Vehicle Weight (GVW), Gross Vehicle Weight Rating (GVWR) or combination of power unit and trailer that meets or exceeds 10,001 lbs. and/or transports placardable amounts of hazardous materials by ground in any vehicle on a public road while in commerce, may be subject to additional Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations including: Driver Qualification Files, Medical Certification (obtained before onboarding), Road Test, Hours of Service, Drug and Alcohol Testing (CDL drivers only), vehicle inspection requirements, CDL requirements (if applicable) and hazardous materials transportation/shipping training.
Required for certain Job Profiles: Ability to obtain and maintain Merchant Mariner Credential, which includes pre-employment and random drug testing as well as DOT physical
