Responsible for leading the strategy and execution of our Last Mile Logistics as part of our supply chain purpose to deliver transformative change and bring world-class value creation, effectiveness, and connection to our customer. Primary Responsibilities
Lead monitoring of progress and execution of Last Mile Strategy and Delivery goals and priorities Drive cross-functional alignment around setting the top priorities for Last Mile Strategy & Delivery as part of Project Lumina 10-year initiatives Lead SG Direct acceleration, building opportunities in existing Direct Warehouse Sales (DWS) locations, and identifying best expansion locations with existing SGWS properties or new locations Ensure successful move to Omnitracs (OT1) and continuous improvement on metrics over the next 3 years Identify delivery vehicles and methods best suited for the Last Mile Strategy Demonstrates thought leadership by advising senior leadership Build meaningful relationships and influence others without direct reporting authority Influence our long-term strategy and support the execution within the portfolio of programs Develop analyses from various data sources and translate them into meaningful business decisions for various audiences Build strong relationships nationally in the SCO organization as well as with key functional and corporate internal teams, creating pathways for collaboration, consistency, efficiencies, while finding savings that impact the business Build tools that enable fact-based metrics on Last Mile Strategy Maintain confidentiality of all Southern Glazer’s Wine & Spirits business and comply with all company rules and regulations as outlined in the employee manual Perform other job-related duties as assigned Additional Primary Responsibilities
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree (required) & MBA or similar master’s degree (preferred but not required) 10+ years of overall work experience is required Hands-on experience working in a supply chain operations or adjacent function is strongly preferred. Strong verbal and written communication skills for interfacing with all levels of the organization from hourly workers to senior leadership Excellent interpersonal, customer service, analytical/problem solving, problem management skills Excellent presentation development and delivery skills Experience in CPG or distribution industry is strongly preferred Travel: Up to 25% Physical Demands
Physical demands with activity or condition for a considerable amount of time include sitting and typing/keyboarding using a computer (e.g., keyboard, mouse, and monitor) or adding machine Physical demands with activity or condition may include occasional to rare amount of time include walking, bending, reaching, standing, and stooping May require occasional lifting/lowering, pushing, carrying, or pulling up to 15lbs
