Job Description The Director of IT Sourcing and Procurement at Nidec MOEN will lead the global IT procurement strategy, driving enterprise-wide value creation through strategic vendor partnerships, innovation, and cost optimization. This executive-level role requires a visionary leader capable of engaging with C-suite stakeholders, aligning sourcing initiatives with business transformation goals, and building a world-class procurement function that supports agility, resilience, and growth.
Primary Responsibilities Strategic Negotiation Leadership: Lead complex, high-value negotiations with global IT vendors to secure optimal commercial terms, service levels, and risk mitigation. Act as the primary negotiator for all major IT sourcing initiatives, ensuring alignment with enterprise goals and stakeholder expectations. Global Contract Consolidation: Identify and consolidate fragmented, siloed IT contracts across business units and geographies into unified global agreements. Leverage enterprise-wide buying power to drive cost efficiencies, standardization, and improved vendor accountability. Executive Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate directly with C-suite executives and senior business leaders to align sourcing strategies with enterprise priorities, digital transformation goals, and risk frameworks. Present sourcing plans, negotiation outcomes, and value delivery metrics to executive leadership. Cost Optimization & Value Delivery: Develop and execute sourcing strategies that deliver measurable global IT cost savings, cost avoidance, and long-term value. Apply rigorous financial analysis and total cost of ownership (TCO) methodologies to support decision-making. Governance & Risk Management: Establish and enforce sourcing policies, vendor governance frameworks, and compliance standards. Ensure all procurement activities align with legal, regulatory, and cybersecurity requirements. Market Intelligence & Innovation: Stay abreast of IT sourcing trends, emerging technologies, and supplier innovations. Use market insights to inform negotiation strategies and identify opportunities
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities Bachelor’s degree in business, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (Master’s or MBA preferred). ITIL certification; additional certifications in procurement (e.g., CPSM, CIPS) are advantageous . 15+ years of progressive experience in IT sourcing, procurement, or vendor management, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role. Proven track record of engaging with executive leadership and influencing enterprise-level decisions. Experience managing global sourcing operations and complex vendor ecosystems. Executive presence and strong influencing skills at the C-suite level. Deep knowledge of IT sourcing trends, digital transformation, and emerging technologies. Expertise in contract negotiation, risk management, and financial analysis. Strong leadership, team development, and change management capabilities. Strategic thinking with a results-driven and customer-centric mindset. Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
Languages Fluent in English; additional languages are a plus.
