Overview
What You’ll Do: The VP, Director of Investment oversees investment, activation, and portfolio management across all media channels. They provide leadership by bringing new ideas, innovation, and opportunities to clients regularly. The VP, Director develops go-to-market investment strategies, recommendations, and POVs while leading negotiations and building strong vendor relationships. Responsibilities: Own client relationships and educate on media investment across channels Provide counsel on marketplace trends and investment expertise; be a thought leader in alternative buying models and integrated projects Maintain and develop relationships with client contacts Inject ideas, innovation, and industry developments into assignments and client communications Drive analytics to inform investment strategies, tactical planning, and optimizations Collaborate internally across all LOBs and with partner agencies Develop campaigns aligned with client goals and KPIs Manage negotiations for added value inventory, research partnerships, and sponsorships Troubleshoot campaign issues and partner with strategy directors for client communication Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree preferred, in marketing, advertising, communications, business, sociology, or consumer insights 10+ years in digital media buying across platforms: display, search, mobile, programmatic, paid social 7+ years of leadership and team management experience Strong negotiation skills and ability to add value Excellent communication skills Ability to package and sell concepts and opportunities Strategic thinking and problem-solving skills Independent and collaborative work ethic Proficiency in Microsoft Office and media tools Additional information Starcom is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
