Position Overview:

The following position is to join our RTX Corporate, Enterprise Services team:

The Director Infrastructure Tools & Automation will oversee the strategy and execution of automation initiatives across the organization’s digital infrastructure. This role is responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive infrastructure automation strategy, focused on speed and time to value, ensuring compliance with security standards, and enhancing the efficiency and resilience of IT environments. This includes provisioning, configuration management, monitoring, and orchestration for DT environments, driving continuous improvement in automation practices to support mission-critical operations and drive towards infrastructure as code (IaC).

This position will provide direction for automation strategy, championing value & product driven operating models, and compliance initiatives. Lead teams to establish frameworks, governance processes, and reporting mechanisms to enable proactive risk management and threat mitigation. The leader will collaborate with cross-functional teams (engineering, DT, OT, cybersecurity, operations) and senior leadership to ensure automation investments align with organizational strategy. They will build and lead a high-performing team focused on automation assessment, remediation, and compliance. Drive continuous improvement in automation practices to maximize protection, operational excellence, and business value.

The salary range for this role is 176,000 USD - 352,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.Hired applicants may be eligible for benefits, including but not limited to, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, long-term disability, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, flexible work schedules, employee assistance program, Employee Scholar Program, parental leave, paid time off, and holidays. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.This role is a U.S.-based role.
