Ally is seeking a visionary and results-driven Infrastructure Operations Leader to oversee the day-to-day operations of our Hosting Infrastructure and lead the transition to our next-generation Private Cloud . This role is critical to ensuring the reliability, security, and scalability of our enterprise platforms, including Unix, Windows, Red Hat OSV, Hyper-V , running on Cisco UCS hardware , and utilizing EMC, Pure Storage , and Dell infrastructure .
You will lead a hybrid team composed of onshore Ally leads and Cognizant-managed services , driving operational excellence across ITSM disciplines, infrastructure lifecycle management, and proactive risk mitigation. This role demands a strategic planner who can organize resources, anticipate challenges, and drive continuous improvement.

The Work Itself
As the Infrastructure Operations Leader, you will be expected to:
Lead and manage hosting infrastructure operations across legacy and emerging platforms.
Support the buildout and transition to Ally’s new Private Cloud , including technologies like Nutanix , Dell , and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) .
Own and mature ITSM processes including Incident, Problem, Change, and Service Request Management using ServiceNow .
Drive risk and compliance initiatives including EOL tracking, vulnerability remediation, patching, and CMDB accuracy (via ServiceNow CMDB ).
Maintain asset inventory and lifecycle tracking across infrastructure components.
Coordinate and govern change and maintenance windows with precision and minimal disruption.
Ensure SLA adherence and operational KPIs across managed services and internal teams.
Lead a team of domain experts across Unix, Storage, Virtualization, and Hardware operations.
Collaborate cross-functionally with internal stakeholders, audit teams, and vendor partners to ensure seamless service delivery and regulatory compliance.
Shift the team mindset from reactive support to proactive planning and problem prevention.
Develop and execute strategic roadmaps for operational maturity and infrastructure modernization.
The Skills You Bring
To thrive in this role, you should bring:
10+ years of infrastructure operations leadership experience , preferably in a hybrid enterprise environment.
Deep expertise in Unix, Windows, Red Hat OSV, Hyper-V , and Cisco UCS platforms.
Strong understanding of enterprise storage systems (EMC, Pure) and Dell infrastructure .
Experience with Private Cloud technologies such as Nutanix , Dell , and IaC frameworks .
Hands-on experience with ITSM frameworks (e.g., ITIL) and tools like ServiceNow .
Familiarity with risk and compliance practices , including patching, EOL, and vulnerability management.
Experience managing CMDBs and asset inventories in complex environments using ServiceNow CMDB .
Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams , including vendor-managed services.
Exceptional organizational and planning skills —able to align teams, resources, and timelines effectively.
A proactive mindset with a passion for continuous improvement and problem prevention .
Experience in financial services or other regulated industries, with a strong understanding of regulatory and audit requirements .
