The Treasure Valley Family YMCA in Boise, ID is currently seeking a Director of Information Technology. This position is responsible for building leading and maintaining the technology strategy, infrastructure, and operations of the Treasure Valley Family YMCA to ensure integrity, availability, and security of the organization's information assets and serves as a member of the Senior Leadership Team as the organization's Security Officer.
Responsibilities:
Responsible for the strategic leadership of the Y IT and data protection programs. Develops IT and security policies and procedures, plans and tests responses to security breaches, and establishes annual and long-range IT, security and compliance goals. Defines and implements IT and security strategies, metrics, and reporting mechanisms that align with the organization's overall business objectives.
Ensures that appropriate controls are utilized in the storage, processing, and transmission of information and is responsible for continuous improvement of the security posture of the organization in accordance with the organization's Information System Security Management Policy.
Define, establish, and enforce technology standards across the organization.
Oversee the planning, development, implementation, and maintenance of the company's IT infrastructure, ensuring systems, networks, and applications meet established standards for security, performance, scalability, and reliability in support of the organization's mission.
Manage the lifecycle of hardware and software assets, from purchasing and installation to maintenance and disposal. Maintain an accurate inventory of IT equipment and software licenses, implement ITAM policies, conducts audits and ensure license compliance.
Develops and manages the technology budget, ensuring cost-effective solutions while optimizing technology investments. Forecast needs, budget for assets and identify cost-saving opportunities.
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in the field of computer science, information systems, business or other with significant technology experience.
10+ years of related work experience with a minimum of 5 years in technology leadership role with proven track-record of success managing IT team and information security.
A strong understanding of IT infrastructure, software, business technology, data management, and various technologies and platforms.
A strong understanding of business principles and the ability to translate IT needs into business solutions.
Strong project management skills, including planning, execution, and budget management of IT projects.
Proven ability to lead, motivate, and inspire a team, and to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences.
Deep understanding of technology trends, emerging technologies, and best practice in the industry.
