If you are a talented and experienced IT Director coming from a development background, David Aplin Group has the right opportunity for you!  Our Calgary-based client is looking for a Director of Information Technology Alberta to join their team.     In this exciting role, you will be the highest-ranking IT resource responsible for supporting and advancing the enterprise mission and business plan through the application and deployment of information technology.  The role of the director is to manage the strategic and tactical planning and day-to-day operations of the IT activities, reporting to the Vice President, Chief Information Officer.   Responsibilities: Plan and manage the IT Business and user relationship Plan the Business-Driven IT Strategy Lead the evolution of technical architecture Manage vendor relationships Develop and deploy IT products and services Maintain level 3 manufacturing execution systems (MES) and related systems Manage IT operations Support and train users Selecting, developing, and managing staff including managerial-level employees Qualifications: BS in Technology, Business, Engineering, or related Min. 10 yrs. progressive IT management experience Experience in steel manufacturing or similar industry Knowledge of order-to-cash processes is a must MES responsibilities with multiple lines or processes required; level 3 systems experience ERP experience an asset; experience decommissioning helpful Experience with the development, and medication of customized applications Ability to develop and lead large, diverse teams Must be able to work in USA or Canada without sponsorship and must be able to travel frequently between two countries Job ID: 9D498442623   If you are interested in this position and meet the qualifications, apply today!
