Job Opening Summary
Plans, organizes, coordinates and directs administrative and operational activities for the infection prevention and control program across multiple ambulatory, inpatient, and outpatient sites. Maintains compliance with The Joint Commission (TJC), FL Agency for Healthcare Administration (AHCA), and Medicare Conditions of Participate (CoPs) related to infection prevention and control in hospitals, emergency departments, and longterm care. Responsible for daily operations of the infection prevention and control department. Job Opening Qualifications
Required Education: Master’s degree
Preferred Education: public health, microbiology, epidemiology, nursing or equivalent
Required Licensure/Certifications: Valid Florida or Georgia Driver License with a clean record, or violations not exceeding maximum points as provided in hospital policy.
Preferred Licensure/Certifications: Certification in Infection Control (CIC)
Required Experience: 3-5 years in infection prevention in a large, complex, medical center setting

Necessary Skills: 1. Excellent written and verbal communication skills 2. Ability to read, analyze and interpret complex documents, government regulations, Joint Commission standards and Medicare CoPs. Ability to define problems, collect and analyze data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions to solve problems 3. Excellent interpersonal skills, professionalism 4. Demonstrated competence in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) 5. Ability to speak and engage large, multidisciplinary groups 6. Capable of handling a multitude of situations simultaneously 7. Ability to use objective evaluations and weigh alternatives in order to arrive at a sound decision
