About This Role:
This Director of Identity & Access Management partners with the Chief Technology Officer (CTO) to lead the strategic development and operational management of Identity and Access Management (IAM) within the university's IT infrastructure. The focus of this position is on enhancing the security, compliance, and efficiency of identity and access controls across hybrid-cloud technologies and data center operations. The role is crucial for improving infrastructure security, managing identity governance, and ensuring high user satisfaction through secure and seamless access to IT services. What You’ll Need to Succeed: Minimum Qualifications: Requires a bachelor's degree and five to 10 years of relevant experience. Preferred Qualifications: A bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, information systems, cybersecurity, or a related field is preferred; however, equivalent experience in identity and access management, cybersecurity, or a closely related field will be considered in lieu of a degree. Extensive experience in managing identity and access management within hybrid cloud environments, including designing IAM architectures, deploying IAM solutions, and overseeing IAM operations. Strong leadership and team development skills, with a proven ability to manage multidisciplinary IT teams focused on security and access management. Deep understanding of IAM technologies, security protocols, compliance regulations, and best practices, with experience in integrating IAM solutions in cloud migrations and hybrid environments. Excellent project management skills, capable of leading complex IT projects with a focus on identity and access management implementations. Experience in vendor management, SLA negotiation, and cost optimization, particularly relating to security and IAM services. Strong analytical, strategic planning, and communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex security and compliance concepts to non-technical stakeholders. Demonstrated ability to foster innovation and drive operational efficiency in IAM operations and security management.
