Summary:
The HRIS Director oversees the operations of the organization's human resource information systems to help support the day-to-day business needs and the longer-term corporate strategies. This role involves evaluating business needs and identifying the necessary hardware and software to fulfill data management requirements. The HRIS Director will help design, build and continuously improve Workday business processes, security requirements and routine HR processes. The HRIS Director ensures the accuracy of internal database files, tables, and reports, and may create integrated web-based HR programs. This role is vital to the organization, as they will oversee HRIS projects on the Workday platform and support any disruption in the payroll system.
This person will contribute to strategic decisions impacting the functional area of responsibility. They will lead a smaller team of analysts and consultants, and will work with various teams including the IT team, Performance Management team, Talent Acquisition team, and Shared Services team when it comes to Workday integrations and necessary functions. Directs the operations of an organization's human resource information systems.
Analyzes business requirements and determines hardware and software requirements to meet data management needs.
Ensures the integrity of internal database files, tables and reports.
May develop integrated web-based HR programs.
Data reporting needed for EEO-1 compliance, SEC data requests, and payroll reporting.
Fulfill data requests from HR and other business units related to employee demographic data and pay data.
Help support file integrations needed with vendors that send and receive information from Workday
Troubleshoot Workday data and process issues
Typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity.
Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility.
May give input into developing the budget.
Redesign all business processes to allow for more efficiency.
Qualifications:
Education Required: Bachelor’s Degree.
3+ years of hands-on experience with Workday including configuration experience.
3+ years of managerial experience overseeing smaller teams.
Capable of resolving escalated issues arising from operations and requiring coordination with other departments.
Experience with web-based HR programs – (SuccessFactors, etc.) preferred.
Experience working with AI features – previous experience developing an architecture that develops AI preferred.
Merger and acquisition experience preferred.
Project management experience preferred.
