Reporting to the Senior Director of HCV Marketing, this role will be responsible for:
Develops key elements of the field sales strategic and tactical plan to the HCP audience, including: personal promotion (sales materials including: leave behinds, Veeva email, and POA support
Utilize multiple sources of information (e.g. primary and secondary market research, advisory boards, competitive intelligence, field force, etc.) to uncover insights relevant to the development of brand strategy, targeting, and tactical plans
Ensures the HCP personal promotion strategy and tactics align with the HCV POA through engaging external agencies and collaborating with internal brand and cross-functional partners such as Sales Training, Market Research, and Sales Analytics to maximize personal promotions impact
Partner with the Promotional Review Committee to ensure marketing materials are approved for promotional use
Establish Key Performance Indicators, regularly tracking and measuring the success of field sales initiatives and tactics
Lead or serve as a key project team member on cross-functional projects, often with high visibility to leadership within the organization.
Ensuring operational excellence and compliant activation of all key deliverables.
Effectively managing multiple agency partners to produce deliverables within timelines and budgets.
Develop and deliver presentations to a range of internal (executives, US leadership team, sales, cross functional colleagues, etc.) and external audiences.
Closely managing and achieving budget targets.
Qualifications
10+ years of relevant experience.
A minimum of 3-5 years in product marketing or advertising focused on HCP marketing and brand strategy.
Strategic thinker with innovative mindset and ability to make critical decisions and recommendations among a range of strategic choices.
Bachelor’s degree in marketing or related fields required.
Previous experience in marketing, market research and/or communications agency experience desired.
Demonstrated understanding of pharmaceutical regulatory requirements.
Must be able to travel as dictated by business need, including overnights and attendance at some nighttime and weekend programs.
Must be fluent in conversational and written English.
The salary range for this position is: $226,185.00 - $292,710.00. Gilead considers a variety of factors when determining base compensation, including experience, qualifications, and geographic location. These considerations mean actual compensation will vary. This position may also be eligible for a discretionary annual bonus, discretionary stock-based long-term incentives (eligibility may vary based on role), paid time off, and a benefits package.
