Desert Valley Hospital seeks a Director of Food & Nutrition (Registered Dietitian) to lead our mission of providing high-quality food services that support recovery, healing, and nutrition. Our Food & Nutrition Services team is vital in creating a welcoming environment where patients, staff, and visitors experience care through every meal. The Director of Food & Nutrition oversees food safety and nutritional care, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and regulatory standards. They manage policies and procedures related to clinical services, food preparation, distribution, purchasing, sanitation, safety, performance improvement, and staff development. Strategy & Innovation: Develop and implement nutrition programs that meet patient dietary needs, improve satisfaction, and align with hospital goals. The director will also play a key role in opening a new hospital cafeteria. Leadership: Manage and motivate a team of dietitians, culinary professionals, and support staff to deliver exceptional service. Quality Assurance: Oversee food safety and quality control, ensuring compliance with HACCP and JCAHO standards. Professional Development Support: Desert Valley Hospital offers reimbursement for up to $1,500 annually for seminars, classes, conferences, or workshops, subject to pre-approval. *All educational pursuits require prior approval. Qualifications Education and Experience: Registered Dietitian (CMS) required. Bachelor's Degree in Food & Nutrition or related field, or relevant experience. At least 2 years of experience in nutrition and food service management preferred. Food Safety Certification from an accredited organization, maintained current. Compensation and Benefits: Estimated annual total compensation ranges from $91,146 to $121,971, depending on experience and credentials.
