Our team members are encouraged to develop and move into more challenging roles as their career progresses. · Employee discounts at our affiliate brands which include– Value City Furniture, American Signature Furniture, DSW, and American Eagle Outfitters What your day will look like: · Lead the annual financial (budget) and strategic plan process · Develop and maintain comprehensive financial models for revenue, expenses, and cash flow · Monitor inventory productivity and GMROI · Partner with marketing to evaluate promotional and media effectiveness · Manage the development of reporting and KPIs for the business · Provide financial guidance to executive leadership on operational results and recommendations. · Prepare visually engaging and intuitive financial reports and presentations for executive-level meetings · Oversee day-to-day financial operations, managing and mentoring a small team and fostering growth and cross-functional collaboration · Continuously evaluate and improve FP&A tools, processes, and systems, leveraging technology to drive efficiencies Some of the capabilities the Finance Director – FP&A will possess: · Strong financial and business acumen · Proven ability to influence operating partners · Demonstrated passion for leading people Qualifications: · Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting; MBA or CPA a plus · 8+ years of progressively responsible finance/accounting experience in FP&A or corporate finance; Retail industry experience a plus · 3+ years of demonstrated leadership in managing and developing a finance team · Experience in the furniture industry or a similar product-based environment (e.g., manufacturing, consumer goods, retail) · Strong analytical skills and deep experience with financial modeling, margin analysis, and operational metrics · Advanced PC skill proficiency, including Excel, Access, and PowerPoint · Attention to detail · Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate across all levels, including translating complex financial information clearly and concisely to both finance and non-finance stakeholders · Track record of serving others and putting team goals first · Proactive approach; identifies and solves problems · Adaptability; flexible to changing market forces and shifting priorities · Desire to continuously improve and remain curious
