Job Overview We are seeking a hands-on Director of Finance/Controller to develop scalable financial operations, ensure compliance, and collaborate with leadership to support growth. Reporting to the VP of Finance, this role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and can build processes while managing high-impact projects. Key Responsibilities Accounting, Controls, & Tax Own the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting. Oversee core financial processes including treasury, AP, AR, payroll, and general ledger. Evaluate, improve, and maintain internal controls and accounting policies. Ensure compliance with GAAP, tax regulations, and other financial standards, including technical accounting evaluations. Manage relationships with external auditors and tax advisors. Financial Strategy & Operations Collaborate on budgets, forecasts, and variance analysis. Report on key financial KPIs and support strategic decision-making through scenario modeling and business case development. Analyze financial performance across departments and products to inform business strategies. Team Leadership Build and manage a high-performing finance team. Establish scalable systems and workflows to support growth. Partner with various business units across the company. Qualifications 7+ years of finance and accounting experience, including managerial roles. CPA certification required; experience in Big 4 or large CPA firms preferred. Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills. Deep knowledge of GAAP. Ability to translate data into insights. Experience in high-growth or early-stage technology companies and understanding of healthcare industry nuances. Advanced degree in finance or accounting is a plus.
