Position Summary
The Director of Finance Operations will oversee financial operations, ensuring accurate and timely reporting, efficient budgeting processes, and insightful financial analysis to support business decisions. This role requires a hands-on leader with deep expertise in financial management, preferably within construction or project-based industries, who thrives in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
This individual must be highly analytical, process-oriented, and capable of working up, down and across the organization, leading teams and collaborating with executives and business units to drive financial discipline and operational alignment. The Director will play a critical role in standardizing financial practices, improving forecasting, and building scalable systems to support CEC's growth.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities Lead the monthly financial close and ensure timely, accurate reporting across all business units. Develop and implement standardized financial reporting processes to enhance consistency and decision-making. Build and maintain annual revenue budgets and rolling forecasts, collaborating with business leaders to ensure alignment with company goals. Provide financial analysis on key performance metrics, including margin performance, labor costs, and labor efficiency, with recommendations to drive profitability. Improve financial workflows by identifying and implementing process efficiencies across operations. Ensure data integrity in collaboration with support functions. Prepare and deliver executive-level reports, including variance analysis and financial trends. Support and optimize financial systems and tools, ensuring scalability and transparency. Monitor compliance with internal controls and financial policies. Develop and maintain dashboards and KPIs for real-time business insights. Mentor and develop operational finance team members to ensure high performance and cross-functional collaboration. Performs other related duties as assigned to ensure efficient and effective processes, completion of projects and smooth operation of department. Qualifications

Education and Experience Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration; MBA preferred. 7+ years of experience in finance or accounting, with strong exposure to project-based industries. Proven track record in financial reporting, forecasting, and budgeting. Expertise in financial analysis, cost control, and business performance metrics. Expert proficiency in Excel and financial systems; ERP experience preferred. Work Environment
