Job Description Summary The Director of Fan Experience, Game Presentation, & Campus Partnership will direct in-game productions for assigned Wake Forest Athletic sports, notably serving as the primary game director for men’s basketball. Responsibilities include video board operation, game script creation, student engagement initiatives, fan experience strategies, single-game promotional plans, and grassroots marketing plans. Supervise and provide support to the Fan Experience fellow positions. Job Description Essential Functions: Assist the Associate Athletic Director for Fan Experience, Game Presentation & Campus Partnership with the overall fan experience and promotional efforts for Wake Forest Athletics. Lead grassroots marketing, game presentation, and promotional efforts for assigned sports. Write scripts and coordinate timing, promotions, video board features, music, public address reads and other gameday elements for assigned sports. Serve as primary contact for men’s basketball and additional sports as needed. Develop, in partnership with the marketing and sales teams on season ticket and single game sales campaigns and promotions for men’s basketball, while assisting in efforts related to Wake Forest football, to drive revenue and attendance. Develop, in partnership with the marketing and sales teams on integrated marketing plans, utilizing conventional, grassroots and digital marketing strategies to drive engagement and attendance. Provide leadership in game day responsibilities to include pre-game and half- time preparations, presentation coordination, and group ticket management. Conceptualize and execute sport-specific sponsorship elements to create an engaging in-game atmosphere for fans and student athletes. Plan and execute fan-focused on-site activations (i.e. fan zones, tailgates, etc.). Coordinate and execute the on-field game presentation efforts for Wake Forest Football. Provide leadership in daily strategy and operations of Screamin’ Demon Rewards platform, Junior Deacon Club, student engagement activations, and future game-day experience programs. Provide leadership for three Fan Experience Fellows with each of their assigned sports and programs. Ensure goals are set, met and exceeded, while reviewing and evaluating goals and plans at each season’s end. Other duties as assigned.
Required Education, Knowledge, Skills, Abilities: Bachelor’s Degree Five years marketing and promotions experience at the collegiate or professional level required or equivalent education and related training. Proficient in Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Suite Detail oriented for accuracy of data and information Highly organized and ability to balance multiple projects and deadlines Strong initiative to solve problems Extraordinary focus on customer service Willing to work in a team atmosphere where expectations are set and managed while giving staff flexibility to do their assigned task as both a leader and/or a follower Ability to work long hours including nights and weekends. Excellent written and oral communication skills, as well as interpersonal skills. Demonstrated experience in marketing or sales. Strong knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations. Valid driver license with good driving record; must be insurable.
Preferred Education, Knowledge, Skills, Abilities: Masters Degree preferred. Experience with Daktronics video board systems preferred.
Accountabilities: Responsible for own work and supervision of Fan Experience Fellow positions.
