The Director Faith Integration and their team make evident our Christian mission identity through the integration of faith into the working and serving environment at AbleLight. The Director partners with the in-market advancement team members, volunteer management and operational leaders to engage with churches, congregations, faith-based organizations, and community stakeholders to grow our Mission, Vision and Values in three focus areas: inspiring an AbleLight culture and programs that support each person we serve and AbleLight team members in exploring and growing in the faith of their choosing; fostering mutually enriching relationships with congregations and faith-based organizations to enhance support for our Mission, Vision, and Values; and increasing volunteer engagement through cultivated relationships to drive meaningful involvement in our Mission.
Responsibilities Align the passion and talents of others and create an environment where individuals and teams can thrive.
Empower leaders, teams, and promote collaboration with operational, functional, and corporate leaders.
Attract and hire team members; welcome onboarding and mentoring new members on the team.
Develop your team by coaching in the moment, identifying training and development needs and programs as part of Quarterly Connections.
Show recognition and appreciation, remove barriers, and achieve results with high levels of employee engagement.
Demonstrate positive leadership behaviors and lead by example.
Support advocacy and AbleLight’s Thought Leadership efforts in producing high quality, timely, and impactful outputs while promoting the organization’s mission and values.
Participate in strategy development for faith integration and create plans and long-term objectives to execute the strategy with the team, focusing on quality, metrics, and budget.
Lead the Faith Integration Team with emphasis on engaging faith communities and volunteers across geographic service areas in AbleLight’s Mission.
Develop and maintain long-lasting mutually beneficial relationships with churches, faith-based and community organizations, individuals, and other faith communities to connect them with partnership, volunteer, and faith integration opportunities; collaborate with market advancement, donor opportunities, and internal partners to create meaningful experiences and ensure volunteer engagement and recognition.
Plan and deliver programs and events to raise awareness about our Mission and support growth across residential, day programs, and employment services; partner with in-market teams to implement outreach as appropriate with donors.
Foster home-state engagement and broader national engagement through faith integration, partnerships, volunteerism, and donations with support from Volunteer Management and operational leadership.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Establishes and maintains long-term mutually beneficial relationships; strong collaboration and communication skills; ethical integrity; ability to share impactful stories to bring the Mission to life; proficient with systems and processes; flexible work hours as needed.
Minimum Job Qualifications Education: Coursework in theology, ethics, or divinity essential; bachelor’s degree preferred.
Experience: 7+ years of progressive leadership and community outreach in similar settings with multiple locations, building successful, sustained relationships. Prior pastor, chaplain, or related leadership experience beneficial.
Willingness to travel in the markets and communities served.
Location: St. Louis, MO area preferred with statewide focus as appropriate.
