Summary
The Director Data Center Operations is responsible for providing coaching, leadership, and direction to the Headend, Data Center, and Video Operations teams. This position is responsible for the operational reliability of our infrastructure, management of the operating budget, management of our vendors and suppliers, and the evolution of our processes, infrastructure sites, technologies, and teams.
Develops best practices for Infrastructure Operations, taking from industry models such as Lean IT, ITIL and lessons learned, with the goal of establishing a best in class critical infrastructure sites. Provides quality coaching, leadership, and direction to the Headend, Data Center, and Video Operations teams. Cultivates, pursues, and promotes a culture of continued excellence through individual and team growth. Creates a development path for direct reports by customizing goals to each associate, striving to improve alignment, execution and individual capability. Defines, develops and continually improves upon establishment of operational excellence. Meets with business owners to ensure that our infrastructure sites align with business strategies and enabling their success. Works with Technology Services and Technical Operations counterparts to shape the decision-making process, ensuring that company infrastructure needs are met. Develops Infrastructure Operations roadmap that matches product technology and company strategies. Manages the department's operating budget and negotiates maintenance and support pricing. Takes on other duties needed to help drive our Purpose, fulfill our Brand Principles, and abide by our Organization's Values. Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree from a four-year college with primary study in Business Management, Computer Science and Networking.
Experience Experience in Infrastructure Operations Management experience in a technology team-oriented workplace Experience within the cable or telecommunications industry Experience with process improvement methodologies Benefits
