We are seeking a talented data leader to serve as Data Analysis Director for the eHR Data Platformsand Governance team. This is a critical leadership position that will be at the heart of helping power our ambitious enterprise HR data strategy and data governance agenda. The position will lead our data analysts teams in maturing our People Data Platform (PDP) and analytical support for its vast customer base. The strategy will include evolving the PDP into the enterprise's source of truth for the most important HR and employee data. This will include supporting the adoption of enterprise tools and platforms, pioneering employee data products, and supporting data governance at scale. Additionally, this role will complement our data science teams with GenAI use cases and development of next level insights. Lastly, we are looking for a leader who can be a champion for HR’s data analyst community. An ideal candidate will be passionate about associate development and look to galvanize the job family across multiple leaders and peers. The role also requires excellent problem solving, communication, and judgment skills. The ability to navigate within a complex, fast moving environment is also a must.
Responsibilities: Contribute and execute on data strategy and governance agenda
Analytical support for business teams
Support PDP evolution to target tools and platforms and the development of data products
Support GenAI use cases development with data science teams
Partner closely with Tech partners on infrastructure requirements
Oversee data quality monitoring and data issue management practices
Monitor the health of the data ecosystem and drive a well managed data environment at scale
Manage team of high performing data professionals; Champion the DA community
Basic Qualifications: Currently has, or is in the process of obtaining a Bachelor’s Degree in quantitative field (Statistics, Economics, Operations Research, Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Science or a related quantitative field) plus at least 8 years of experience performing data analytics, or currently has, or is in the process of obtaining a Master’s Degree plus at least 6 years of experience performing data analytics with an expectation that required degree will be obtained on or before the scheduled start date.
At least 6 years of experience performing professional data analysis work
At least 6 years of experience leading and developing with open source data technologies
At least 4 years of experience managing people
Preferred Qualifications: Master’s Degree
10+ years of Professional Data Analysis experience
5+ years of Big Data experience (AWS and Spark)
5+ years of cloud native (AWS) data processing experience
5+ years of Process Management experience
5+ years of Project Management experience
5+ years of experience with Python
5+ years of Data Governance experience
2+ years of experience with streaming data technologies (Kafka, Flink, Spark streaming)

The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are listed below, by location. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Capital One is willing to pay at the time of this posting. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked. McLean, VA: $226,000 - $257,900 for Director, Data AnalysisRichmond, VA: $205,400 - $234,400 for Director, Data Analysis Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location, and the actual annualized salary amount offered to any candidate at the time of hire will be reflected solely in the candidate’s offer letter. This role is also eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI). Incentives could be discretionary or non discretionary depending on the plan.
