Director, Cyber Security Montvale, NJ Full Time Direct Salary- 150000.00 USD - 180000.00
Our client, a growing technology-driven organization, is seeking a Director of Cybersecurity to lead and evolve its enterprise-wide information security program. This leadership role will be responsible for shaping cybersecurity strategy, managing a team of engineers, and safeguarding digital infrastructure through proactive risk assessment, threat response, and continuous policy improvement.
KEY REQUIREMENTS
Management Experience. Must have at least 6 years of cyber security experience preferably in the technology or startup type industry. Financial services, then manufacturing, to follow. Management experience is a must. Must have purple, blu,e and/or red team expereince. Penetration testing is a must.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and mentor a team of cybersecurity engineers responsible for enterprise-wide security operations Oversee security infrastructure, including SIEM, EDR, and other threat detection platforms Manage threat prioritization, incident response, and forensic investigations Drive red team, blue team, and purple team initiatives to evaluate and enhance security posture Conduct penetration testing and coordinate external/internal security audits Develop and implement enterprise security policies, frameworks, and procedures Analyze Common Vulnerabilities and Exposures (CVEs) and assess risks across systems Present key findings and strategic recommendations to executive leadership Collaborate cross-functionally to align security goals with broader business initiatives Ensure compliance with cybersecurity frameworks and regulatory requirements Lead change management processes for major security system upgrades and integrations Requirements:
6+ years of cybersecurity experience, preferably within technology, startup, or financial services environments (manufacturing considered) Proven people management and leadership experience Experience with red, blue, and/or purple team methodologies Hands-on expertise in penetration testing and risk-based security analysis Bachelor's or Master's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Security, or related field Relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISA, CEH) Strong communication, executive presentation, and cross-functional collaboration skills This is a critical hire for a company committed to security innovation, operational resilience, and rapid growth.
