Job Overview The Director, Customer Marketing is responsible for developing channel and customer strategies that grow CVI’s sales, share and preference, and improve the patient shopping and purchase experience. This role will create and execute integrated marketing programs, build long‑term customer partnerships, and lead a high‑performing team.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement customer and channel programs that drive sustained share gains.
Establish CVI as a credible expert in traffic and revenue acceleration in the contact lens segment.
Create and execute a customer segmentation strategy to tailor messaging and action plans.
Drive commercial and pricing strategy in partnership with corporate accounts and brand teams.
Lead the annual account planning process to align CVI and account strategies.
Plan and launch products and services innovation across channels.
Oversee pre‑launch, launch, and post‑launch strategy and activities.
Execute pilot/test & learn programs for new and expanded opportunities.
Define and monitor program measurement and KPI alignment.
Leverage customer insights, CRM data, and analytics to evaluate campaign effectiveness.
Improve continuous learning initiatives and share best practices with commercial teams.
Design and execute multi‑channel campaigns to drive adoption, retention, and loyalty.
Communicate quarterly corporate account plans to sales, marketing, and other stakeholder groups.
Manage agency and cross‑functional resources to achieve marketing strategy goals.
Ensure all marketing activities comply with regulatory standards and maintain consistent messaging.
Build and develop a high‑performing team, focusing on coaching, performance management, and talent development.
Travel domestically for company, industry, and customer events; travel to key customers and field sales co‑travel about 15‑25% of the time.
Qualifications and Experience
Proven success leading teams and managing multi‑channel customer marketing programs in eye care or related healthcare domains.
Strong leadership, influence, and collaboration skills with experience managing remote, cross‑functional teams.
Excellent written, oral, and presentation skills.
Advanced analytical skills, both qualitative and quantitative.
Experience managing advertising, promotion, and vendor fulfillment programs.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Outlook.
Minimum 10 years in marketing, including 5 years in customer marketing or related business management; experience in eyecare, medical device, or healthcare is preferred.
Experience working with large retailers or B2B2C product portfolios is a plus.
Compensation For U.S. locations that require disclosure of compensation, the starting base pay for this role is between $175,000 and $234,000 per year and may include cost‑of‑living adjustments. The actual base pay includes many factors and is subject to change and modification in the future. This position may also be eligible for other types of compensation and benefits.
