Key Responsibilities
Lead all nursing-related activities within designated service areas, ensuring care delivery is efficient, safe, and patient-centered.
Champion quality improvement projects and embed evidence-based practices across departments to support exceptional clinical outcomes.
Collaborate cross-functionally with medical, administrative, and support teams to streamline care processes and improve the continuum of services.
Drive compliance with healthcare standards and regulatory requirements (e.g., CMS, accreditation bodies).
Analyze department metrics to optimize productivity, resource allocation, and overall service delivery.
Enhance employee engagement and patient satisfaction by promoting shared decision-making, proactive rounding, and transparent communication.
Implement initiatives to improve service excellence and recognize staff contributions based on patient and family feedback.
Support staff development through mentorship, coaching, and succession planning. Encourage participation in shared governance and leadership development programs.
Manage operational and capital budgets in alignment with strategic goals. Ensure cost-effective staffing and resource utilization.
Promote a culture of safety, accountability, and innovation across all clinical areas under your supervision.
Contribute to organizational recognitions and awards by authoring submissions and collaborating with leadership on documentation and outcomes reporting.
What You Bring
Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) required
Active Registered Nurse license in Florida or eligible multi-state compact license
3+ years of leadership experience in an acute care setting
2+ years of experience in pediatric or specialty care preferred
Strong understanding of regulatory standards, healthcare metrics, and quality improvement strategies
Proven ability to lead high-performing clinical teams and engage frontline staff in continuous development
Comfortable overseeing multi-departmental budgets, project planning, and operational strategy
Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence and collaborate across disciplines
Commitment to promoting a positive patient and staff experience through data-driven decision making
Preferred Qualifications
Master’s degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, or Business (MSN, MHA, MBA)
Leadership certification such as NE-BC or NEA-BC (preferred or to be obtained within 2 years)
Experience contributing to clinical excellence programs or national accreditation efforts (e.g., Magnet, Beacon)
