This is not a plug-and-play partnerships role as you’ll be a key player in designing the playbook and creating new models of how businesses engage in civic and economic renewal. You’ll help build a business movement that empowers people to find purpose and meaning through work, promote cultures of mutual benefit where success comes from improving others’ lives, and align companies with policies that strengthen free enterprise, competitiveness, and individual liberty. Build trusted relationships with senior executives across corporate affairs, external affairs, public policy, foundations, brand/marketing, and people operations to shape decisions at the enterprise level. Engage companies as co-creators, aligning shared goals and capabilities to advance business-led solutions in talent, innovation, and community impact. Design value-aligned partnerships that activate business assets (policy teams, employee platforms, foundations, marketing arms) in service of flagship initiatives that strengthen the economy and future of work. Collaborate across Stand Together’s philanthropic and policy capabilities to create bespoke, high-leverage partnerships. Partner with marcomms to elevate stories of business innovation that demonstrate dignity, empowerment, and mutual benefit. 5-7+ years of experience in corporate partnerships, business development, or external affairs, ideally spanning functions such as public policy, corporate affairs, corporate foundations, marketing, or talent A track record of designing initiatives or coalitions from the ground up — not just managing accounts Entrepreneurial mindset: thrives in ambiguity, builds structure where none exists, and drives action. Persistence and resilience to move complex, long-horizon partnerships from idea to execution. Ability to operate at the intersection of business, policy, and culture, speaking fluently with both C-suite execs and social changemakers. Commercial sharpness: understands incentives, leverage, and how to move decision-makers toward bold outcomes.
