Northrop Grumman Mission Systems (NGMS) is seeking a Director, Controller to support the business management functions of the Navigation, Targeting and Survivability (NTS) Division. This Business Management leader will report to the NTS Division Chief Financial Officer and is expected to be onsite in Rolling Meadows, IL .
What You'll Get to Do:
The NTS Controller will have responsibility to lead Division business management functions including financial planning and reporting, managing discretionary (NCTA & Capital) investments, indirect budgets, and program cost and schedule management.
This leader will oversee the balance sheet and income statement for the division and provide guidance to the business with regards to GAAP and SOX controls. This individual will be responsible for leading the development and analysis of the long-range strategic plan (LRSP) and annual operating plan (AOP). The leader will provide financial/EVMS compliance guidance, oversee financial forecasting & reporting, implementation of earned value, indirect rate management, and EACs/ETCs. This leader will also be responsible for leading and implementing division Business Management staffing, rotation, and training initiatives.
The successful candidate must have a proven record of accomplishment in leading a diverse team. Must have the ability to promote the professional development of the business management workforce and foster a collaborative culture that sustains the momentum around employee engagement, affordability, innovation, value growth and continuous improvement.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline with 10 years' or a Master's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline with 8 years of progressive experience in multiple business management disciplines.
Supervisory experience.
Experience with financial planning and analysis, and strategic planning (i.e. developing Long Range Strategic Plans and Annual Operating Plan).
Program budgeting and forecasting experience.
Earned Value and financial reporting experience.
Business case development experience.
Experience presenting business strategies, financial information, and risk assessments to senior executives.
In depth knowledge of DOD business models.
US Citizenship.
Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret level clearance after starting.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience leading large strategic new business captures.
Experience with Business Systems Implementation (SAP or other).
Salary Range: $188,600.00 - $282,800.00
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
