The Team The IP - Content and Brands group in Mattel's Law Department protects the company's sensitive IP assets and content globally. The Opportunity The Director, Content Protection, reports to the VP, Assistant General Counsel, and manages policies, procedures, and projects related to content security across various stages of content and product lifecycle, including collaboration with multiple departments and external partners. Travel may be required. Your Impact Develop and implement global content protection strategies, coordinate with cross-functional teams, manage relationships with industry partners and law enforcement, and oversee incident response and policy communication. Key Responsibilities Strategic Planning: Enhance content protection policies to prevent leaks and unauthorized access. Program & Project Management: Track and deliver content protection initiatives across regions. Relationship Management: Build relationships with internal teams, industry partners, and law enforcement. Reporting: Provide updates, metrics, and reports to stakeholders. Policy, Training & Awareness: Develop and communicate policies and training materials. Incident Management: Lead investigations and remediation of content leaks or breaches. Third Party Assessment & Training: Manage assessments and training for third-party vendors. Qualifications 8+ years in content protection within entertainment, including strategic planning and incident response. 5+ years managing technical projects. Experience with DRM, media security, and digital transfer tools. Knowledge of media and entertainment security practices, IT systems, and workflows. Ability to work with law enforcement and navigate legal landscapes. Compensation Salary range: $180,000 - $235,000. Compensation will depend on location, skills, and experience.
