Role Overview The  Director – Construction (Southeast)  provides leadership and oversight for T5’s Southeast market and other markets, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, and on budget. You’ll lead multi-building projects, coordinate subcontractors, and manage budgets while ensuring quality and compliance with specifications.
Key Responsibilities Leadership & Strategy Lead construction management teams across multiple projects, ensuring alignment with company goals and client expectations. Provide direction, coaching, and accountability to project executives, senior project managers, and superintendents. Support the VP in shaping organizational strategy, developing scalable systems, and maintaining a strong safety and performance culture. Partner with Preconstruction & Estimating to ensure seamless project handoff and execution. Project Delivery & Execution Oversee all phases of construction execution, from mobilization through commissioning and turnover. Ensure adherence to contract requirements, schedules, budgets, and quality standards. Proactively identify risks and implement mitigation strategies. Monitor Earned Value, CPI/SPI, and other performance metrics to drive accountability. Champion BIM/VDC integration, prefabrication strategies, and cutting-edge data center construction methods. Client & Partner Relationships Serve as the senior point of contact for key clients, building trust through consistent performance and transparency. Lead executive-level project reporting and presentations. Manage relationships with trade partners, vendors, and consultants to ensure collaboration and alignment. Operations & Continuous Improvement Standardize best practices in project controls, scheduling, safety, and field operations. Drive innovation in construction execution, including AI-driven data center solutions, liquid cooling installation processes, and modular builds. Partner with Training & Development to build leadership and technical capability within the construction organization. Support recruiting, onboarding, and retention of top construction talent.
Qualifications
Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field (Master’s preferred). 12+ years of progressive experience in construction management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role. Proven track record delivering large-scale ($100M+), mission-critical or data center projects. Strong technical knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and liquid cooling systems. Expertise in project controls, scheduling software, and BIM/VDC platforms. Exceptional leadership, communication, and client-facing skills. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-stakes environment with competing priorities.
