This is ahybrid position based out of Feeding America’s Chicago or Washington DC office location. At Feeding America, we believe in offering a flexible work environment. Employees must be in the office an average of 2 days a week (when not travelling for work) and can work from home on other days. Employees also have access to a 30-day “work anywhere” program during the course of each calendar year that can be combined with PTO and/or holidays.

As such, we maintain transparent salary ranges and clearly defined practices for how our team, including new hire salary offers, moves through these ranges. You can expect us to offer the best salary up front based on these clearly defined pay practices with little room for negotiation. We make exceptions for highly experienced (multiple years of at-level experience) new hires in accordance with our pay practices. Once hired, employees have the opportunity to progress through salary ranges via regular merit increases and step promotions.
Salary Range: $125,000 - $136,000 Based on Experience and Location.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement strategy to grow access to and donations of agricultural products in support of Feeding America’s network of regional cooperatives, Partner State Associations, food banks and agencies. Work with Regional Agri Sourcing and Sharing team to inform network resources and support needed to execute strategy.
- Manage and track business objectives that secure access to and donations of agricultural products for Feeding American’s network. Collaborate with Food Industry Partnerships and Corporate Partnerships Account Managers and across FANO to ensure a coordinated approach for working with donors and industry.
- Provide commodity specific subject matter expertise to drive food and fund and successfully steward strategic accounts and projects.
- Build and maintain strategic relationships with key industry trade associations in order to strengthen FANO and our food bank partners’ status as preferred recipients of agricultural donations and financial support.
- Plan and facilitate high-level engagement meetings with industry and network partners to better understand commodity specific availability and supply chain considerations. Develop reports, publications and presentations and engage in speaking opportunities to promote FANO and network opportunities.
- Lead strategic projects to further agri food sourcing opportunities in collaboration with cross-functional FANO staff as appropriate.
- Aid FANO Development and Member Grants teams in the creation, development and execution of grants to ensure that FANO is meeting donor requirements and distributing grants in a way that is consistent with our goals and values.
- Work with the FANO Government Relations team to create and execute strategies to ensure government foods are accepted by network members.
- Collaborate with FANO Member Engagement, Food Sourcing and Advisory Services and other Supply Chain teams to understand the roles of those teams and opportunities to partner to support network sourcing staff.
- Engage in FANO committees and projects that enhance the organizational mission.
- Minimum 7 years of functional and business experience in multi-stakeholder environment; or equivalent experience in supply chain, relationship management, industry consulting, customer service role or equivalent. Agri-business (produce, protein and/or dairy) work experience is required.
- Minimum 5 years leading programs and projects with experience in being proactive and complex problem-solving. Knowledge of planning, budgeting and related fiscal or grant processes preferred.
- Strong networking and relationship management skills.
- Ability to manage and analyze data to derive business insights.
- Adept at using technology and remote collaboration methods for success.
- Proficiency in Microsoft including Teams, Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Technical competency in Webex, Salesforce and Tableau also preferred.
