The Director, Commercial Procedure Development will lead various TMTT commercial strategy development, analysis and field activities for the US commercial team.
Role is open to considering candidates that would be remote, based in US or onsite / hybrid if located in Irvine, CA area. Regular domestic travel required regardless of location.
How you'll make an impact:
Direct team activity for commercial procedure development across the TMTT portfolio.
Create a robust infrastructure to monitor and analyze commercial procedure outcomes.
Create engagement with implanting team physicians through the review of commercial case outcomes data. Meet with physicians onsite and at key industry conferences.
Partner with key internal functions (R&D, Clinical Development, Medical Affairs) by sharing commercial outcomes data and related trends.
Develop full team strategies and manage and oversee the work of team including other managers and/or experienced SMEs.
Shape development of tools and workflows to optimize device/therapy selection for mitral and tricuspid patients.
Develop full team strategies and manage and oversee the work of team including other managers and/or experienced SMEs. Develop a robust talent development plan in alignment with functional growth strategies of the department.
Develop and lead in the implementation of broad and more complex procedural strategies which may include negotiations with internal and external parties
Plan complex activities with large scale or significant business impact with the accountability for successful completion of all commercial procedure development deliverables. Lead in identifying risk, developing mitigation strategies, alternative solutions, resolving issues, etc. in collaboration with cross functional and/or matrix teams including external sites (e.g., physician's team)

What you'll need (required):
Bachelor's or Masters Degree in related field or equivalent required
Proven record of progressive team or program leadership experience required
Experience managing teams (includes ability to provide coaching and feedback; responsibility for all employee actions including hire/fire authority and partnering with HR on all aspects of employee relations) required
Experience in interventional cardiology or cardiothoracic surgery preferred.
Experience working in a regulated industry preferred.
Ability to travel up to 50%

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite applications and analytical tools (Salesforce, Power BI )

Exhibits excellent communication skills and interpersonal relationship skills including negotiating, relationship management, and ability to drive achievement of objectives
Expert understanding of related aspects of commercial clinical case protocols and device procedural processes
Ability to develop and integrate metrics into the projects and operations that clearly demonstrate the value of their role to the business
Strict attention to detail
Ability to interact professionally with all organizational levels and proactively escalate issues to appropriate levels of management in the organization
Excels within a fast paced, dynamic, and constantly changing work environment
Frequently interacts with internal and external management and senior-level stakeholders concerning projects, operational decisions, scheduling requirements, and/or contractual clarifications
Able to lead briefings and technical meetings for internal and external representatives
Dedicated to quality client service and pro-active and responsive to client needs.

The base pay range for this position is $198,000 to $280,000 (highly experienced).
