We have an opening for a Director of Calendar Management & Product Innovation who will manage planning and execution of an 18-month, insight-driven marketing calendar and new product innovation related to the marketing calendar. The role contributes to the brand, brand equity, and strategic partnerships to accelerate business growth. This position reports to the VP, Head of Marketing. Responsibilities Annual Marketing Plan: Partner with the Head of Marketing to develop a customer insight–driven marketing plan, including the promotional calendar to drive sales, traffic, and check-through for key new product initiatives and seasonal programs (excluding loyalty-specific promotions managed separately). 18-month Product Calendar: Collaborate with Product Development, Supply Chain, Finance, Ops Services, and Global Marketing to build an 18-month product innovation calendar that feeds the marketing calendar. Lead execution, costing, and pricing analysis for all marketing windows in partnership with cross-functional teams. Retail Coffee & Tea: Develop strategies to increase presence in product mix, improve sales to company-owned stores, and expand brand reach in specialty channels. Consumer Insights: Conduct competitive benchmarking and consumer research to develop an annual learning/market research plan. Menu Strategy & Pricing: Oversee menu strategy with the Sr. Menu/In-Store POP Manager; partner with Finance to set pricing based on product mix and margins. Brand Partnerships: Identify, evaluate, and secure strategic partnerships; negotiate agreements and manage partner relationships; oversee initiatives with partners including events, campaigns, and content. Creative Asset Development: Manage development and cross-utilization of assets across in-café marketing, digital channels, CRM, new openings, and tests in collaboration with the Marketing team. Measurement: Analyze marketing programs with Finance and agencies to adjust strategy for increased effectiveness. Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree or MBA and 10 years’ experience in corporate marketing. Related experience in restaurant, retail, multi-unit, or franchise business; experience with both national and regional brands is a plus. Proven leadership with the ability to inspire and align a team; ability to translate strategy into execution plans. Experience in integrated multi-platform marketing, strategic marketing, and creative development. Experience in insights development, trend analysis, and performance metrics to guide business decisions. Experience in product management and product development. Strong written and verbal communication and negotiation skills. Excellent organization and problem-solving abilities; ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-changing environment. Strong analytical capabilities including budgetary and financial acumen. Hands-on executive with the ability to operate with minimal direction and pursue objectives relentlessly; high integrity and discretion.
