BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT – PROJECTS & AML (Valves)
Summary
Oversee a specific market segment for business pursuits. This includes developing strategies to enhance market position, analyzing industry trends, managing product development, and coordinating marketing efforts tailored to their target segment. They will work with and support the RSMs and DMs to drive revenue growth.
Role and Responsibilities
New Business Development
Identify and qualify project pursuit opportunities with EPC’s and AML opportunities with end- users.
Develop and implement strategies to win opportunities on projects and penetrate AML’s.
Achieve sales targets by converting accounts and penetrate existing accounts
Relationship Management
Build preferred supplier relationships with key decision-makers within EPC companies and end- users.
Engage early in the project cycle with customers to create differentiation, drive preference and be able to spec in products & solutions pertaining to project specifications.
Understand their needs and requirements and position company to meet those needs.
Provide strategic relationship influence and value-add technical resource to EPCs and end- users
Sales & Marketing
Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve revenue targets.
Participate in industry events and conferences to promote the company’s products.
Prepare presentations, proposals, and other sales materials.
Technical Expertise
Possess a strong understanding of valve & actuator technology and applications.
Collaborate with engineering teams to develop solutions that meet customer needs.
Stay up-to-date on industry trends and regulations.
Market Research & Analysis
Conduct market research to identify trends, opportunities, and competitive landscapes.
Analyze sales data and identify areas for improvement.
Provide insights and recommendations to improve business performance.
Teamwork & Collaboration
Work closely with sales, marketing, and engineering teams to achieve business objectives.
Collaborate with other business development professionals to share best practices and knowledge.
Skills & Qualifications
5-7 years of success in business development or sales.
Strong understanding of EPC’s and end-user AML’s.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
Ability to build and maintain strong relationships.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Proficiency in CRM software and other sales tools.
Bachelor's degree in engineering, business, or a related field preferred
