Director, FC Academy of Talent Experience 1 week ago Be among the first 25 applicants Overview We are seeking a Director, FC Academy of Talent Experience to lead the FC Academy (FCA) program within Schwab’s Wealth Management Learning & Development. The FC Academy is a 15-month development program designed to prepare top talent for sales professional roles within the Branch Network and other business development roles. The role is responsible for onboarding, licensing, and the Investor Development rotations, and for partnering with Program Management, HR, and Retail Service leadership to design and deliver high-impact initiatives in service talent recruiting, training, licensing, ongoing development, wealth management training, leadership development, and career pathing. The role drives the effectiveness and impact of these initiatives on hiring, ramp, retention, licensing pass rates, and employee satisfaction. A "can-if" mindset is expected to innovate, influence, implement, and advance talent activities in collaboration with key partners.
Team Context Our Team FC Academy (FCA) is one of the early talent programs in the WML&D organization. We recruit top talent—including recent graduates and career changers—and provide a comprehensive program to prepare them for success as sales professionals within Schwab. Responsibilities Include Partner with HR Talent Acquisition to establish and execute the Talent Acquisition strategic roadmap (profile for service talent, recruiting source strategy, university/community partnerships, interviewing practices). Create a compelling recruiting narrative that demonstrates long-term career growth toward FC roles. Develop and maintain internal career pathing framework across Branch Network and centralized sales organizations, including quarterly/annual performance objectives at different levels. Collaborate with program management and Retail Service leaders on development, implementation, delivery, and measurement of the FC Academy program, onboarding/training/licensing/ongoing development strategies that maximize employee potential. Develop and deliver training sessions in response to regulatory/compliance changes and strategic initiatives. Establish and maintain strategic partnerships with key Retail leaders and HR partners to support talent acquisition and licensing. Deliver a consistent career path roadmap to attract and recruit high-impact talent and lead onboarding for four cohorts annually. Oversee licensing processes to help new hires obtain COE-required licenses (SIE, Series 7, Series 66) within two attempts while maintaining low attrition. Ensure training aligns with industry regulations and compliance standards; program and people management required. Coordinate with SMEs and Branch Leaders to facilitate the Career Advancement Process at graduation to IC and FCP roles. Manage FCA cohort travel experiences, including hotel relationships and T&E, within the program budget (approx. 12 trips annually). Collaborate with SMEs and leaders to align learning programs with business goals; monitor progress and manage performance expectations. Serve as subject matter expert on licensing, EDGE, advisory, financial planning, and wealth management solutions, teaching professionals to deliver impactful client outcomes. Conduct regular needs assessments to identify skills gaps and training requirements. What you have Required BA/BS degree Series 7, Series 9/10 Demonstrated coaching, training, and people leadership skills Minimum 10 years of financial services industry/sales experience with at least 5 years in a leadership role Excellent communication skills and ability to partner to create tangible action plans Strong written communication, organizational, and time management skills Strong interpersonal and relationship skills with ability to influence Schwab colleagues Ability to communicate and implement a clear learning and development strategy for WML&D Director Willingness to travel 15-20% to assigned centers (mainly Westlake) Preferred Series 63 or Series 66, Series 24 What’s in it for you At Schwab, you’re empowered to shape your future.
