PURPOSE:
The Director, Business Change Management is responsible for developing and executing strategies and plans to prepare internal and external stakeholders for business change. The Director oversees the organizational change management, learning and development, and end user documentation teams. These teams provide people and process change management support for internal strategic transformation initiatives, IT projects and for client-facing product and feature launch and optimization.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Provide vision, leadership, and strategic direction to the organizational change management, learning and development, and end user documentation teams.
Partner with internal and customer leadership to ensure stakeholder engagement and readiness needs are appropriately understood and considered in planning, scoping and funding products and strategic initiatives.
Oversee establishment, maintenance and continuous improvement of standards, guidelines and procedures, frameworks, tools and templates for managing change with internal and external stakeholders.
Lead and mentor people in daily activities, provide timely feedback and maintain high-performing team environment.
Monitor and measure activities and effectiveness of the organizational change management, learning and development, and end user documentation teams in engaging and preparing stakeholders for optimizing change.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY:
This position manages people.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education Level: Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or related field OR in lieu of a Bachelor's degree, an additional 6 years of relevant work experience is required in addition to the required work experience.
Licenses/Certifications Preferred:
Certified Change Management Professional
Experience:
7 years progressively responsible organizational change management, training, and/or end user documentation experience.
3 years people management experience.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSAs)
Ability to establish and maintain strong relationships at all organizational levels and facilitate and foster collaboration.
Ability to influence others, provide counsel and move toward a common vision or goal.
Knowledge of change management principles, methodologies and tools (ADKAR, Prosci, etc.) and experience integrating business change management into product lifecycle management, the software development lifecycle, and project management lifecycle.
Demonstrated experience and success in leading business change management planning and execution for large-scale transformation and enterprise technology projects with complex stakeholder groups and requirements.
Must be able to meet established deadlines and handle multiple customer service demands from internal and external customers, within set expectations for service excellence. Must be able to effectively communicate and provide positive customer service to every internal and external customer, including customers who may be demanding or otherwise challenging.
