UTA seeks a Director, Accountingwho will be responsible forleading the US general ledger team through the monthly close process. You willinfluence GL operational strategy, develop a high-performance team, and reduce the time to close while maintaining accuracy. The ideal candidate is highly motivated to automate processes, detail-oriented, and a team player that excels in a fast-paced environment. This role is based in our Beverly Hills, CA office. The salary range for this role is $160,000 to $200,000commensurate with experience and skills. What You Will Do Lead and orchestrate the fast-paced US month-end close, ensuring precision and timely results that power key business decisions
Serve as keycontact with external financial statement auditors
Coachand inspire a standout General Ledger Accounting team, fostering growth, ownership, and a high-performance culture
Partner with Corporate Technical Accounting Group to interpret and implement new guidance
Maintain documentation of core accounting close procedures
Help with accounting integration of new business units and newly acquired companies
Spearhead process standardization, automation, and continuous improvement
Drive special projects with creative problem-solving as needed
What You Will Need Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or related degree, and have active CPA license.
10+ years of relevant accounting experience, including public and private accounting
NetSuite knowledge a plus
Strong knowledge of US GAAP and internal controls
Proven ownership of accounting transformation, with an interest or expertise in automation
History of leading teams in an innovative and high-growth environment
Strong communication and cross-functional leadership skills with ability to drive initiatives across teams
Strategic thinker and problem solver with an ability to manage complexity, deadlines and evolving priorities
