Responsibilities As the Dining Services Director, you will oversee the food service program at a single site, ensuring the highest quality standards in food production, inventory management, and customer service. Your role will involve following facility menus and adhering to federal, state, and local regulations as well as HCSG policies to deliver exceptional dining services.
Lead and mentor the food service team to maintain quality and safety standards.
Keep accurate records of income, expenditures, food supplies, personnel, and equipment using HCSG software.
Conduct training sessions and quality control checks, stepping in as a dietary aide, cook, or dishwasher when necessary.
Effectively communicate directives from management to HCSG staff.
Utilize protective gear and ensure the safe use of cleaning solutions.
Maintain a sanitary environment by following infection control policies.
Exhibit consistent attendance and punctuality while completing assigned tasks.
Represent HCSG positively through cooperative interactions with staff, residents, and guests.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications Associate's degree or higher in food service management or hospitality preferred, including relevant coursework.
Two years of experience in quantity food production/service and personnel supervision preferred.
Certified Dietary Manager (CDM) certification preferred (or as required by state law).
Must obtain Food Protection Manager (FPM) certification within the first 14 days of employment.
Must obtain Food Service Manager (FSM) and Long-Term Care Food Service (LTC-FSM) certifications within the first 60 days of employment.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to maintain a positive attitude while effectively communicating with staff and administration.
Compliance with COVID-19 vaccination policies is required.
Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.
Familiarity with basic computer skills for record-keeping and report completion.
Residency within the service area is required.
