Dining Services Director (Full-Time) - Deerfield Ridge Assisted Living Deerfield Ridge, a community of Navion Senior Living, is seeking a creative and proficient Dining Services Director skilled in all aspects of food preparation. You will oversee all kitchen operations as the "chief" of culinary activities. Note: Requires availability every other weekend and on holidays. Deerfield Ridge has partnered with Tapcheck to revolutionize payroll, allowing team members instant access to earned wages via a user-friendly mobile app. This initiative empowers staff with more financial control and stability. Responsibilities Plan and oversee food preparation and culinary activities Modify or create menus to meet quality standards Estimate food requirements and manage food/labor costs Supervise kitchen staff activities Recruit and manage kitchen team members Address and resolve problems or complaints Give final presentation touches to prepared plates Ensure compliance with nutrition, sanitation, and safety standards Maintain a positive and professional environment with coworkers and residents Requirements Bachelor's degree in Culinary Science or related certification preferred Stay updated with cooking trends and best practices Strong communication and leadership skills Current ServSafe certification or ability to obtain it Ability to handle multiple priorities, with excellent organizational and problem-solving skills Experience serving seniors and managing food service operations, including therapeutic diets Benefits Health insurance (Medical, Dental, Vision) Retirement plan (401k) PTO for full-time employees Short & Long Term Disability Insurance Life Insurance Opportunities for career advancement Additional Details Seniority Level: Mid-Senior level Employment Type: Full-time Job Function: Management
