SALARY
The minimum salary is $105,963.52 annually.
This position is not eligible for overtime (exempt); however, the city has a compensatory time leave program for employees that grants leave time for hours worked in excess of forty hours.

GENERAL DESCRIPTION
The purpose of this classification is to assist the Director of Water Quality in managing the operations of the Division.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor¿s degree in engineering
Eight (8) years of related experience, where at least two (2) years must be in a supervisory/management capacity
Additional years of related education may substitute for years of experience
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Assists the Director in management of the work functions for four operational units and four professional units in the execution of municipal wastewater and stormwater utility services
Act on behalf of the Director when assigned
Serves as a member of the division's management team by participating in strategic planning for existing and future staffing, equipment, materials needs and overall direction of the division
Provide functional direction to consulting firms employed by the division
Develop and issue task orders, review and approve invoices and progress reports
Troubleshoot complaints from residents and elected officials regarding wastewater or stormwater services and programs
Work with the Director to coordinate division activities with state, federal and court ordered requirements.
Review and analyze Consent Decree and NPDES permit requirements to verify division's compliance with regulatory requirements and schedules
Performs related work as assigned
SPECIAL LICENSE/CERTIFICATION
All Certifications and licenses must be maintained as a condition of employment.
Professional Engineer License issued by the State of Kentucky; those with an equivalent license issued
by another state, must obtain licensure in the State of Kentucky within the six (6) month probationary period.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS
All positions require drug testing and background check before employment and may require a post-job offer physical as stated in Ordinances 21-14(b), 22-13 and 23-16.
