Overview SUMMARY: The Program Director manages faculty and other academic staff, ensuring effective leadership of the department and students. They are responsible for complying with accreditation standards, agency regulations, and programmatic outcomes. The Program Director implements, monitors, and upholds policies and procedures to ensure departmental effectiveness. Responsibilities Key Accountabilities:
Model professionalism and conduct for staff and students.
Ensure high academic quality of instruction.
Participate in student, campus, and community activities.
Engage with the local professional community to promote Concorde and enhance opportunities.
Recruit, train, and supervise faculty.
Ensure engaging, respectful, and student-focused learning environments.
Document faculty development activities and ensure compliance with policies and standards.
Maintain safety standards per legal and regulatory guidelines.
Conduct regular staff/faculty meetings and maintain faculty files.
Assist in curriculum review and development.
Conduct surveys and review results effectively.
Provide performance feedback and coaching to faculty.
Mentor and advise students as needed.
Support program completion, licensure, and placement outcomes.
Ensure compliance with accreditation and regulatory requirements.
Manage course, student, and faculty scheduling.
Participate in graduation activities and teach classes as permitted.
Assist with student orientations and participate in budgeting and procurement.
Oversee academic progress processes, grade audits, and advising.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
Supervisory Responsibility: All program faculty and staff.
Qualifications Experience/Education:
Full-time appointment responsible for program operation, supervision, evaluation, and revision.
Authority over curriculum, faculty recruitment, evaluation, and development.
Background as a dental hygienist with an accredited program and a master's or higher degree, or a dentist with educational and professional experience.
Current CPR certification (required within 30 days).
Leadership or administrative experience (preferred).
Excellent communication skills.
Ability to evaluate instructor effectiveness.
Strong attention to detail and professionalism.
