Dental Director - Montgomery, AL Job Type: Full-Time | Onsite Location: Montgomery, Alabama

Pay - $130,000-$180,000

A respected healthcare organization in Montgomery, AL is seeking a Dental Director to lead and manage its general dental health services. This role combines clinical dentistry with administrative leadership and offers the opportunity to make a direct impact on community health while overseeing a competent dental team. Key Responsibilities:

Plan and direct a comprehensive program of general dental health services Supervise dental staff and ensure high standards of care and compliance Examine, diagnose, and treat diseases and conditions of the oral cavity Oversee maintenance of dental records, encounter forms, and regulatory paperwork Provide or arrange emergency dental care Participate as a member of the management team and in federal program implementation Approve continuing education and supervise students/interns during patient care Coordinate emergency preparedness and life safety standards per JCAHO guidelines Ensure dental providers operate within the scope of their privileges Monitor provider productivity and conduct peer review activities Promote collaboration across departments and contribute to data gathering and survey readiness Qualifications: Graduate of an ADA-accredited dental school Licensed to practice dentistry in the State of Alabama Holds a current Controlled Substance Registration Certificate (DOJ & Alabama Dental Board) Minimum of 5 years of clinical dental experience in a private or employed setting Prior experience in a supervisory or leadership capacity preferred Knowledge of applicable dental regulations, policies, and emergency preparedness
