Wimberly Interiors is hiring a Creative Director for our office in Dallas, Texas.ROLEThe Creative Director serves as the design leader and mentor, conceptualizing, developing, and implementing innovative design solutions. The ideal candidate will create innovative solutions and strategies to achieve client goals, resulting in consistently high-quality and exceptional design experiences. The Creative Director develops high-level concepts for design projects and collaborates with internal and external clients, presenting designs and understanding their needs.The Creative Director will demonstrate extensive experience in managing all phases of the project, showcasing creative interior design skills and high standards. The position will focus on both global and local aspects, cross-selling services, and demonstrating a strong commitment to collaboration with the Managing Principal and Studio Directors to implement annual business plans and financial performance goals for the Studio.RESPONSIBILITIESLeads creative sessions for project kick-offs, finding the most effective way to find the best design solutionInfluences and shapes the design concept for multiple projects from concept through completionWorks directly with the Studio Director and Managing Principal to meet established overall Studio targets and objectives within a service lineWorks with the Studio Director, Project Director, and internal teams to generate ideas for pitching proposals and collaborates on opportunity pursuitsWorks with the Studio Director to prepare client presentationsDevelops creative programs and design concepts that meet the business objectives of the organizationEstablishes creative direction and programs for the team and the StudioOversees and ensures that the design quality and design standards used in the projects meet brand consistency (the Design Way) and processes established by service leadershipUnderstands the team's skillsets, assures studio talent effectiveness and growth, and liaises with other offices on talent resourcing, sharing and exchangeCollaborates with design and technical senior leaders in the development and implementation of project plansCollaborates with Studio Director and Managing Principal on business development initiatives, industry intelligence and trendsProvides and promotes learning and development opportunities to raise the design quality and capabilities of the teamSpends time researching best practicesWorks with senior leaders and the Studio Director on project issues and resolutionsBuilds the team, motivates, and fosters the design quality of project team membersJoins senior leader meetings to communicate and participate in key initiativesQUALIFICATIONSProfessional degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or related field from an accredited institutionMinimum of 10 years of experience in hospitality design and advanced knowledge of the serviceSuccessful track record of managing large projects or multiple smaller projectsExperience in hospitality design and interaction with clients regarding project scope and conceptsProven abilities in interfacing with clients, consultants, vendors, and employeesExperience leading interior design teams and mentoring, motivating, and giving constructive feedback to the project teamCommitted to thought leadershipHistory of leading and inspiring staff to produce great work while maintaining a positive culture*Please include a copy of your resume and portfolio to be considered for this position.WATG is an Equal Opportunity Employer Equal Opportunity Employer This employer is required to notify all applicants of their rights pursuant to federal employment laws.
