Position at The Northbridge Companies Home Office Corporate Director of Culinary Operations
The Corporate Director of Culinary Operations is responsible for culinary policies, procedures and functions, training and development, menu, and recipe development, compliance with health code regulations, supporting community culinary financial performance, innovating, and implementing new processes and procedures to enhance the overall culinary experience delivered. Essential Job Functions Plans, develops, organizes, implements, evaluates, and directs the operations of culinary services, companywide.
Develop and maintain community compliance with companywide culinary KPI’s, policies, procedures, and standards.
Responsible for capital improvements/requirements for community kitchens, specifically as it pertains to equipment, costs, space, layout and logistics, vendor selection.
Assist in creating, planning, and implementing weekly seasonal food and beverage menus that meet appropriate margins and profitability for each community.
Monitors compliance of orders for food and supplies through authorized vendors. Oversees maintenance of food and supply expenses to budget. Develop action plans, as needed, to ensure each community meets its culinary financial goals.
Create and monitor company-wide food safety and sanitation program and cleanliness of culinary work areas ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local sanitation regulations.
Supports efforts to ensure community culinary teams are adequately staffed, the highest quality standards are met, and exceptional resident experience is consistently delivered.
Conducts routine safety inspections of kitchen, dining room, food storage and chemical storage areas, and food receiving area. Communicates "action items" to community Culinary Director, Maintenance Director, and Executive Director.
Meets individually with Culinary Directors and conducts regular team meetings to provide training, establish bests practices, team goals, best practices, expectations, deliver organizational updates, etc.
Reviews all monthly food service reports .: Board of Health & EOEA.
Develops and provides training to community culinary teams to ensure the delivery of an exceptional dining experience to all residents and visitors.
Participates in the recruitment, selection, training, and development of community Culinary Directors. Promotes the professional growth and development of culinary leadership and plans for succession.
May be required to assume leadership or staff responsibility in any of the communities during an absence or vacancy for a designated period.
Support in the acquisition of and/or development of a new community as requested; some travel may be required during this time.

Qualifications: Associate or bachelor’s degree in hospitality management or business or equivalent experience.
5+ years of culinary management experience.
10+ years of practical hands-on experience in the culinary field.
Current Certified Food Protection Manager certification.
Ability to communicate effectively with residents, families, staff, community officials and the public.
Must have compassion for and desire to work with the elderly.
