Oversee sales and marketing programs to maintain occupancy.*Qualifications*· Bachelor’s in Business/Communications or related field or 2 years’ experience in sales/marketing or admissions (healthcare preferred)· Experience in healthcare or community relations preferred· Strong presentation, organizational, and communication skills· Knowledge of reimbursement programs (Medicare, Medicaid, etc.) and computer basics, including but not limited to email use· Self-driven, able to work independently without close supervision· Sales training and experience with advertising/design a plus· Demonstrate a professional presence with excellent written and verbal communication skills.· Ability to attend meetings, make presentations and meet prospective residents or facilities outside the community.*Main Responsibilities*· Build and maintain effective working relationships with a wide range of individuals and organizations.· Demonstrate creativity, especially when preparing, conducting, and following up on tours.· Show self-confidence in various social settings.· Work flexible hours as needed, based on admission responsibilities.· Respond promptly and professionally to inquiry calls from hospital discharge planners, families, and other referral sources.· Conduct tours of the community for prospective residents and families.· Oversee the admission process by always keeping information on bed availability and community services current.· Manage inquiries efficiently and provide timely follow-up as appropriate.· Effectively manage occupancy levels and optimize census and premium mix.· Make sales calls to professionals in the medical, insurance, legal, and financial fields, as well as to senior organizations, special interest groups, hospital discharge planners, and other community contacts.· Develop and sustain relationships with referral sources, providing updates about bed availability and new services to meet community needs.· Maintain an up-to-date database of current and potential referral sources.· Utilize established sales practices and tracking tools.· Alert department heads and staff about projected changes—including admissions, bed changes, and discharges—by leading daily admission meetings.· Collaborate closely with the Director of Nursing and office managers to ensure efficient and appropriate decisions regarding prospective admissions.· Recommend admissions decisions to management and communicate admission determinations with nursing and housekeeping for room and bed assignments.· Ensure all admission paperwork is properly completed and signatures obtained from residents or responsible parties before admission. Communicate any special needs of new residents to staff for a smooth transition.· Work with the Administrator to develop and implement quarterly sales and marketing plans, represent the marketing team in meetings, monitor budgets, and track results.· Maintain working knowledge of Federal and State regulations, reimbursement programs (such as Managed Care, Medicare, and Medicaid), and assist with new employee training on these topics and the admissions process. Stay informed about the managed care referral process.· Monitor inquiry, admission, and census trends as part of quality improvement efforts.· Prepare weekly marketing reports, maintain an inquiry log, and submit other required reports as needed.· Monitor all active and inactive inquiries and submit sales tracking reports to the Administrator on Thursday evenings.· Keep a comprehensive database of medical contracts and community resources, stay updated on industry trends and regulatory issues, and share relevant information with staff and community contacts.· Assess customer satisfaction among new admissions, post-discharges, current residents and families, community sources, and those who did not admit; share findings with management and committees to develop action plans as needed.· Assist in creating community materials, such as brochures, press releases, and advertisements that describe community services.· Plan and implement special events and presentations focused on community education, maintaining the community’s reputation as an expert in skilled nursing, specialty programs, and rehabilitation care.· Comply with, support and enforce organizational policies and regulatory requirements regarding residents’ rights, and foster positive relationships with residents, visitors, and regulators by maintaining a professional appearance and demeanor.· Adhere to organizational policies, including documentation and reporting requirements; attend educational activities, in-service training, staff meetings, and assist in onboarding and training other staff.· Participate in Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement activities as invited.*Core Competencies*· Organizational, planning, and decision-making skills· Initiative, efficiency, and adaptability· Professional knowledge and customer service focus· Clear verbal and written communication· Integrity, teamwork, and interpersonal skills· Recruiting, staff development, and inclusive management· Budget and schedule management*Work Environment*· Work inside and outside the community, in all weather conditions· Requires practical problem-solving and flexibility· Clean, comfortable office setting*Additional Requirements*· Respond to emergency drills and business calls while on call· Basic math skills, computer proficiency, reading and writing in English· CPR and First Aid certifications required\*\*\*This job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive list of activities, duties, or responsibilities that are required for this position.
