*Community Support Network (CSN)* is a Sonoma County nonprofit dedicated to creating a compassionate, healthy, and safe community by supporting individuals at risk. We are seeking a dynamic and skilled *Community* *Development Director* to help lead our fundraising, public relations, and event efforts.

*ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:*
FUNDRAISING
* Assist the Executive Director, Event Committee, and Board Members in developing and maintaining a multiprong fund development strategy consistent with the Benevon Model. This will include access point events, appeals for monthly giving, planned giving, and an annual event and/or events. * Maintain highest possible standards and ethics. * Conduct regular individual donor stewardship activities, including tailored communications and personal contact in partnership with the executive director. * Spend a significant amount of time cultivating donors by meeting them outside of the office. * Spend up to five hours per week identifying grant opportunities in collaboration with the E.D. Share new foundation prospects directly and exclusively with the E.D. Once approved, the E.D. will assign grant writing task to the grant writer. * Work with Finance Team on budgeting for the Fundraising Department; monitoring Development Department’s monthly revenue and expenses; and communicate with Finance Director regarding fundraising projections throughout the year.
PUBLIC RELATIONS
* Work in collaboration with the E.D. and the Board of Directors to strengthen the brand awareness of CSN * Help optimize the website for CSN, and update the website regularly * Develop, manage, and implement agency public relations efforts * Represent CSN to other agencies and the community * Work in collaboration with the Grant Writer and Executive Director to design, oversee, produce, and distribute agency public relations and development materials (e.g. newsletter, annual report, press releases, media kits, donor communications, and other materials.) * Edit all program-generated materials including, brochures, fliers, newsletters, and related public relations and development materials * Assist the Executive Director in communication about services, policies, objectives, accomplishments, and general information to the CSN community, and the community at large * Maintain a social media presence for the agency
EVENT DEVELOPMENT AND COORDINATION
* Organize CSN events in collaboration with CSN’s highly engaged event committee * Develop and implement information presentations for the community related to the services
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills * Proven fund development skills * Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software * Strong presentation skills
PREFERED EXPERIENCE:
* Experience using a donor management database like Donor Perfect * Demonstrated longstanding connections to our local community
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
* Bachelor's level education * Experience designing and implementing event planning and/or donor engagement strategies
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
* Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer. * Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at a time.
