We are a movement of over 140 passionate volunteers building open-source mobile technologies to mobilize voters on Election Day. We are a 100% volunteer and remote organization. Job Description: Reporting to the Board of Directors, the Co-Executive Director will have strategic responsibility for WeVote's programs, fundraising, expansion, and executing its mission. Operational responsibilities will be shared with existing senior leaders. The role requires developing deep knowledge of our programs, operations, and business plans. We are exploring distributing development efforts among multiple individuals focusing on areas like large donors, foundations, and small donations. This is a volunteer position requiring at least 20 hours per week, mostly during "work hours". Leadership & Management: Ensure program excellence, rigorous evaluation, and quality across finance, administration, fundraising, and communications. Engage and energize board members, partners, and funders. Develop and support a strong Board of Directors, lead, coach, develop, and retain a high-performance management team. Implement effective systems to track progress and evaluate programs using Objectives and Key Results. Fundraising & Communications: Expand and manage fundraising activities supporting an estimated budget of $50K - $100K annually. Build capacity in fundraising by leveraging existing relationships and seeking new opportunities from foundations, individual donors, grants, and small donors. Potentially seek nonpartisan grants to increase down-ballot engagement regionally. Qualifications: The candidate must be committed to WeVote’s mission and have proven leadership, coaching, and relationship management experience. Essential qualifications include: At least 10 years of senior management experience, with a track record of scaling organizations and developing strategies that foster growth. Unwavering commitment to quality programs and data-driven evaluation. Excellence in organizational management, staff coaching, strategic goal achievement, and budgeting. Experience working with stakeholders and cultivating board relationships. Strong marketing, PR, and fundraising skills to engage diverse stakeholders. Excellent written and verbal communication, persuasive and passionate. Entrepreneurial, adaptable, innovative approach to planning. Ability to collaborate effectively with diverse groups.
