Purpose To oversee and perform duties related to infection prevention, safety, and risk management activities. Responsible for creating, designing, implementing and oversight of training programs for clinical staff of University Health Services department.
Responsibilities Develops training curricula, in conjunction with subject matter experts, that meets instructional goals and objectives for UHS compliance modules and other training as deemed necessary. Coordinates the Infection Prevention and Control Program. Serves as the Safety Coordinator. Participates in UHS quality improvement and risk management activities. Supports the AAAHC Coordinator in preparation for the accreditation of the health center by the Accreditation Association of Ambulatory Health Care (AAAHC). Exhibits customer service-oriented behavior and excellent public relations skills in all aspects of work. Maintains patient health records. Demonstrates regular and punctual attendance pattern. Accepts other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree. Five years of experience in healthcare or related field. Experience in infection prevention, quality improvement and/or safety. Experience with healthcare-related training activities. Working proficiency with standard software including Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint. Preferred Qualifications Master’s Degree in a healthcare-related field. Registered Nurse degree. Certified in Infection Control (CIC). Leadership experience in a Quality Improvement Program in an ambulatory care setting for more than one year. Two years of experience developing and implementing training programs. Experience using electronic medical records Demonstrated good community, interpersonal skills, team-building skills, and professional demeanor.
