The Clinical Operations Director is a vital senior leader responsible for overseeing and managing the comprehensive operations and administrative activities within the clinic. This role requires a strategic approach to supervising, mentoring, and coaching clinical staff, ensuring that clients and their families receive exceptional, quality services tailored to address individual needs. As the Clinical Director & Lead BCBA, you will drive the effective implementation of clinical policies, procedures, and best practices. Key Responsibilities: Exhibit Caravel's core leadership principles, including a Positive Attitude, Integrity, Accountability, Team Development, Effective Communication, and Strategic Thinking. Lead and manage the clinical team, which includes Lead BCBAs, BCBAs, and Senior Therapists. Responsibilities include scheduling, coaching, talent development, performance management, and navigating employee relations issues proactively. Set clear clinical team objectives, establish performance standards, and conduct performance evaluations for Seniors, Senior Interns, BCBAs, and Lead BCBAs. Oversee staffing levels according to client needs and, depending on the clinic's size, participate in recruitment efforts in collaboration with Human Resources. Supervise all clinical training programs, including Behavioral Technician, Senior, and Senior Intern training, and manage ongoing continuing education initiatives. Facilitate clinic meetings and maintain effective communication with Lead BCBA's, addressing clinical team performance and issues. Monitor employee engagement and turnover, developing actionable plans to enhance workplace satisfaction. Oversee client intake processes and serve as a vital communication link between clinical and administrative staff. Develop, implement, and communicate policies and procedures that ensure the delivery of quality services to clients. Engage in effective communication with executive leadership, devising crisis management strategies as needed. Ensure adherence to the BACB task list standards and provide comprehensive supervision and program management for families enrolled in autism treatment. Design individualized home-based behavior intervention programs utilizing best practices within Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA). Manage client programming and collaborate with clinical teams to optimize ABA strategies and address behavioral challenges. Utilize the Caravel Autism Health Qualities of Effective Treatment and clinical data to refine treatment plans and enhance client outcomes. Assess and determine clinically appropriate changes in client care levels in coordination with the clinical team, ensuring clear communication with families and stakeholders. Prepare essential documentation for funding reimbursement processes and address any client concerns to guarantee satisfactory resolutions. Interact with external parties involved in client care, including school and medical staff, and participate in IEP meetings as needed. Deliver training and ABA strategies to family members during field visits, maintaining professional boundaries and representing the organization positively. Comply with all ethical standards and regulations, including HIPAA, ensuring client confidentiality. Monitor clinic expenditures and ensure adherence to the approval processes for significant expenses. Engage in marketing efforts to promote clinic growth and success through community involvement and networking. Qualifications: Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) or actively pursuing certification with demonstrable hands-on experience in ABA services. Bachelor's degree in a human services discipline OR a Master's in a behavioral science with significant training in behaviorally based therapy models. A minimum of five years’ experience in a clinical leadership role, such as Lead BCBA or Supervisor, implementing behavioral techniques effectively. Skills and Competencies: Natural ability to engage with children and demonstrate critical thinking capabilities. Exceptional organizational skills and adaptability to changing circumstances. Expertise in functional assessments, behavior plans, and progress measurement. Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills with a client-centered focus.
