Job Description

Laboratory Management: Provide leadership and oversight for the clinical laboratory department, ensuring efficient operations, quality control, and regulatory compliance. Staff Supervision: Manage laboratory staff, including hiring, training, scheduling, performance evaluations, and professional development. Quality Assurance: Implement and maintain quality assurance programs, policies, and procedures to ensure accurate and reliable laboratory testing. Testing Procedures: Oversee laboratory testing procedures, protocols, instrumentation, and equipment maintenance to meet industry standards and best practices. Compliance: Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, accreditation standards, and safety protocols, including CLIA, CAP, and OSHA regulations. Data Analysis: Analyze laboratory data, results, and trends to identify opportunities for improvement, cost savings, and process optimization.

Education + Certification Requirements

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Medical Technology, Clinical Laboratory Science, or related field. Current Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) or Medical Technologist (MT) certification from ASCP or equivalent. Minimum of 5+ years of experience in clinical laboratory management (hospital or healthcare setting preferred). Strong knowledge of laboratory operations, testing methodologies, quality control procedures, and regulatory requirements. Excellent leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Ability to collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams and adapt to changing priorities.
