Plummer Youth Promise is a nationally recognized leader in child welfare practice, helping youth and families build permanent, lifelong connections. Weve just opened a beautiful new oceanfront building in Salem, Massachusetts, designed to inspire and support both the young people we serve and the dedicated professionals who work alongside them.

We are seeking a Clinical Director to join our leadership team and oversee the clinical services in our Community Treatment Residence and Youth & Young Adult Group Residence. What Youll Do

As Clinical Director, you will:

  • Lead and supervise a multidisciplinary team, ensuring high-quality, trauma-informed, and permanency-centered interventions.
  • Oversee referrals, intakes, treatment planning, and documentation with fidelity to Plummers Intervention & Outcome (I&O) Model.
  • Provide reflective clinical supervision and guidance, building a strong culture of learning and accountability.
  • Ensure compliance with DCF/DMH standards and DEEC licensing, while driving performance quality improvement.
  • Represent Plummer in system-level meetings and collaborate with external stakeholders.
  • Contribute to the growth of innovative, restraint-free residential programs that prepare youth for permanency and adulthood.
What Were Looking For

  • Masters degree with Independent Clinical Licensure (LICSW or LMHC).
  • 5+ years of supervisory/management experience, preferably in child welfare or related fields.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead in a fast-paced, high-impact environment.
  • Strong skills in team-building, supervision, and trauma-informed care.
  • Commitment to equity, inclusion, and belonging in clinical practice and organizational culture.
Location & Schedule

  • Based in our oceanfront campus in Salem, MA.
  • Full-time exempt position with participation in a rotating on-call schedule.
